I Told You So

I know it’s been a while and there is really no excuse other than writing the blog was getting me very depressed. There was very little to write about except the war, which is still ongoing. I decided to get back into it. I am not sure how often I will post but I guess you have to start somewhere.

Today is the 15th anniversary of my father’s passing. Although I think of him daily, I feel particularly contemplative on this day. He had a hard life starting with being born in a small village in Poland. His father was considered well off but the 10 of them lived in a one-bedroom home.

I would have to think that towards the end of 1939, there must have been some anxiousness about the events happening throughout Europe and partiularly next door in Germany. Hitler seized control of Germany in February of 1933 and within a month opened Dachau, the first concentration camp.

In the beginning this and other “camps” were not just for Jews but for all types of undesirables . These included Communists, LGBTQ, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Roma and anyone seen as easy prey. They started targeting Jews in large numbers after Kristallnacht in 1938.

I am not sure how my father and his family got their news but by 1939 they must have known something bad might be coming their way.

Over the last 1 1/2 years I have seen the unmasking of latent antisemitism worldwide. Sometimes this is couched in the name of anti-Zionism but increasingly this charade is not deemed necessary anymore. Jews outside of Israel have been targets of graffiti, vandalism, and murder. More than 20 Jews were killed outside of Israel just for being Jewish since my last post.

You would think there would be some kind of outrage but most of it is coming from Jews. A majority of the world doesn’t really care.

What they do care about is the perceived control the Jews have on the entire world. It seems that a people of less than 16 million souls , has influence on about 8.3 billion people.

People have thought this for thousands of years and now in the USA there is no consequence to expressing this opinion. People being elected to the United States Congress run on a platform of not accepting money from supporters of Israel. This is because everyone knows Israel controls American foreign policy. This in addition to banks, Hollywood, the news and we might as well throw space lasers and rape dogs . You can say almost anything concerning Israel and Jews and there will always be people who will believe it and I didn’t even mention Jeffrey Epstein .

This is straight out of the how to wipe out the Jews playbook. ( I will not use the word genocide since it no longer has any meaning whatsoever) .

Which leads me back to my father and his family in 1939. I hear many people comparing 2026 situation for Jews in the USA to Jews in Germany in 1933.

I dont think we are there yet. I think we are at 1930. The world is in a massive depression that perhaps the Jews caused. Decadence and depravity in music, art and books mostly created by Jews. Politicians were getting elected because of their antisemitism.

You see where I am going.

Overt antisemitism is now acceptable and no one really has a way to stop it. Just today I read two stories that I think illustrate this. In the first and man asked a woman in Montreal to remove her dog from the park where his children were playing. This was the rule in the park and he was only asking that she respect it. HIs daughter was afraid of dogs. Her response was its that the “Jews aren’t allowed here”. This was followed by her saying “ his children “are f*cked up” because they don’t even go to a “normal school.””

The second story concerns a Cornell University student , Austin Franco, who rejected a job interview because the founders of the company are Jewish. He told the founders that he is “not interested in working for a Jew.” He was interviewed by Piers Morgan ( who for some reason decided to platform this idiot) in which he said the genocide in Gaza was proof that all Jews are evil . Mr Morgan put him in his place by calling him “irredeemably awful”. I am sure Austin feels ashamed now …

My realization is that truth be told , no matter how many times my parents would say that it could all happen again, I never really believed it. I am consoled by the fact that neither of my parents got to experience this re-emergence ( not that it ever went away) of Jew Hatred. I wonder what they might have felt or thought. Would they think it is something passing or the start of something.

I will never know for sure but I know what I think. As they say fool me once…

We are blessed to live in a world where Jewish self-determination exists. Something that hasn’t been the case in close to 2000 years. For sure it is a messed up place with enormous problems ( which I will hopefully start writing about again soon) with endless war for the foreseeable future, but it is our mess and we will determine our future here for better or worse.
