One month down
I wanted to post a few quick thoughts as we are heading to the airport back for a few weeks in the states.
The first month was full of the expected bureaucracy, some worse than anticipated some better. Being prepared is the best way to deal with it as is having a good book ( mine is The Undoing Project by Michael Lewis)
Some people try their hardest to help you and others their hardest not to. It bothers me more here as we are all supposed to be brothers but then I remind myself that putting Israeli's on a pedestal is the same mistake the whole world makes.
That said feel free to put me on a pedestal.
I say " we" when talking Israeli politics now . I like that a lot.
Israeli's of all kinds are very happy when they hear you made Aliyah. I like that a lot also
Spoke to a contractor in Hebrew today. I am sure it was painful for him but I felt OK with it
Going to the USA in a few hours. For the first time making this trip I feel like I am leaving home not going back to it.
