Resolved: The Jews are the Indigenous People of the Land of Israel
Live From the War in Israel Day 415
I know—what a bad title. It is so obvious. We know we are the indigenous people of the Land of Israel, which includes the current State of Israel as well as all the land in what is mistakenly called Palestine. We have had an uninterrupted presence for 3,000 years (give or take). Archaeology has found Hebrew script dating back at least that long.
We know that since our forced exile almost 2,000 years ago by the Romans, we have maintained a well-documented history that is included in both the New Testament and the Quran. Jews have prayed for a return to our ancestral home for thousands of years, and in 1948, we regained our sovereignty.
It is the greatest return of an indigenous people to its homeland in history.
Since our return, people have tried to paint us as colonizers displacing the so-called "real" indigenous people—the Palestinians. In fact, they have spent the last 100 years fabricating and rewriting history, something they have been successful at doing on platforms like Wikipedia. According to them, the Temple was never in Jerusalem, and we are not actually Jews but descendants of people who converted to Judaism in the 9th century.
It is such an outrageous claim that we ignored it. I mean, we know who we are—why would we need to address it?
It’s dumb.
This was a big mistake on our part. It is well-known that when outrageous ideas are spouted long enough, more and more people start to believe them. This ridiculous perversion of history is now the official version being taught and supported throughout the education system in the United States, from elementary schools in California to the most prestigious universities.
The time has come for us to take back our history and narrative. For too long, we have allowed the people who seek our destruction to form our truth.
This needs to stop.
I would like to propose that the first step in reclaiming our story is a resolution, passed in the United States Congress and ratified by the president, that would go something like this:
Proposed Resolution:
Whereas the Jewish people have a 3,000-year history in the Land of Israel; and
Whereas the Jewish people were exiled from their land by the Romans almost 2,000 years ago; and
Whereas after many trials and tribulations, the Jewish people have reclaimed their homeland in the State of Israel,
Be it resolved by the Congress of the United States, that we recognize that the Jewish people are the indigenous people of the Land of Israel. Their return is a return of the indigenous people to their historic homeland.
I have never written a resolution for Congress before, so I know it needs work. I am also not sure if this has ever been tried before, but if it has, I’ve never heard of it.
It will, without a doubt, be very controversial. That is the point.
You may ask: Why bother to push something that is so obvious and will take up political capital?
Because it is the only way I can think of to take back our story.
We are surrounded by people who are using us for their own virtue signaling without any knowledge of the actual history of Israel. These people are being led by those seeking to delegitimize us and destroy our country. This, mixed with the inherent anti-Semitism that exists, has made Israel the pariah of the world and Jews everywhere unsafe.
This resolution will at least make people wonder what it is about. I am sure that many will not care, but I see no downside to it. At the very least, it will start the conversation. At best, we can reclaim our history from those seeking our destruction.
Fantastic I shared this, please decide to have a political career I am willing to support you!!
